Save AI chats to Obsidian or Notion
An AI chat is often worth keeping next to your notes: decisions, code, research. Markdown is the common language of Obsidian, Logseq, Notion imports and GitHub – so export once and file it wherever you like.
Obsidian (or any Markdown vault)
- Export the chat as Markdown with Talkmere (free).
- Move the
.mdfile into your vault (or set your browser to save downloads there). - The
## You/## ChatGPTheadings show up in the outline; code blocks get syntax highlighting; math renders with Obsidian's MathJax.
With “Include images” (Pro), you get a .zip with an images/ folder next to the note – unzip it into the vault and the image links work.
Notion
Use Copy MD in the Talkmere popup and paste into a Notion page – Notion turns Markdown headings, lists, code and tables into blocks. For many chats use Notion's Import → Markdown & CSV with a .zip exported from the Talkmere collection page.
Whole history into your vault
Import your ChatGPT or Claude data export on the collection page, search, tick the conversations you want and export them as one .zip of Markdown files (Pro). An index.md lists them all.
Talkmere saves the open conversation from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok as Markdown, HTML or JSON for free, and as PDF or Word with Pro. It runs in your browser – nothing is uploaded.
Questions
Does it add YAML front matter?
Not yet; the title, source, date and URL are in the first lines of the file. Tell us if you need front matter.
Will links still work later?
Links in answers are kept. Image links from chat sites can expire – use “Include images” to keep copies.
