Export all Claude conversations
Anthropic lets you download all of your claude.ai data. You get one JSON file with every conversation – complete, but not something you can read comfortably.
Request the export
On claude.ai (or in the desktop app) open Settings → Privacy → Export data. A download link is e-mailed to your account address; at the time of writing it expires after 24 hours and you need to be signed in to download.
What's in conversations.json
An array of conversations. Each has a name, uuid, timestamps and chat_messages; each message has a sender (human or assistant), the text, and structured content blocks (text, thinking, tool use and results). Attachments are listed by file name.
Convert it offline
- Talkmere icon → Collection & import a data export.
- Choose the .zip or
conversations.json. - Save single chats free as Markdown/HTML/JSON, or select many and export a .zip of Markdown, HTML, JSON or Word files (Pro).
Talkmere uses the text blocks of each message, skips tool calls and thinking blocks, notes attachments by name and drops empty chats.
Talkmere saves the open conversation from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok as Markdown, HTML or JSON for free, and as PDF or Word with Pro. It runs in your browser – nothing is uploaded.
Questions
How long does the Claude export take?
It depends on the size of your account; the link arrives by e-mail when the export is ready.
Can I export only one Claude chat?
Not with the official export – it's all or nothing. Open the chat and use Talkmere's popup for one conversation.
