Share an AI chat without a public link
The Share button on AI chat sites creates a web link. Anyone who gets the link can read the snapshot, and links get forwarded. When a chat contains work or personal details, a file is often the better choice.
What a share link means
- It is readable by anyone with the link, without signing in.
- It can be forwarded, posted or indexed if someone publishes it.
- You can usually delete shared links later in the site's settings (ChatGPT: Settings → Data controls → Shared links).
Send a file instead
- Export the chat with Talkmere as PDF or Word (Pro), or as HTML or Markdown (free).
- Open the file and remove anything private – names, numbers, internal details.
- Send it by e-mail or your usual chat app, to the people who need it.
Talkmere builds the file on your computer; the conversation is not uploaded anywhere on the way.
Before you send
- Check pasted documents, API keys, passwords and personal data in your own prompts.
- For HTML files: remote images are not loaded unless you embedded them, so the recipient's viewer doesn't contact the chat site.
Talkmere saves the open conversation from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok as Markdown, HTML or JSON for free, and as PDF or Word with Pro. It runs in your browser – nothing is uploaded.
Questions
Can I export only part of a chat?
Select the part on the page; if Talkmere can't find a conversation it exports the selection. You can also delete sections from the exported file.
Is HTML safe to send?
Talkmere's HTML export contains no scripts and blocks remote content with a Content-Security-Policy.
